Winter

I want to write about internet and face to face incounters but the excitement of the upcoming ski season is winning out. We are looking at some cold night temperatures in the next couple of days which will bring the leaves to full color and then before you know it we will be skiing, riding, sliding, shoveling, snow man/woman making, bundling, shivering and enjoying another winter in the "Wild and Wonderful" West Virginia. Come on up to Snowshoe Ski Resort and Pocahontas County this winter, mention this blog and ask for a free gift. Just a couple of photos from last winter. Looking forward to seeing you this winter!

Fall in the Mountains

Hi to all, you have to admit that fall is a favorite time of year. These warm days, leaves turning colors, football seems to make eveyone happy. I was down the branch (Dry Branch Road) a couple of days ago so would like to share this picture with you. Dry Branch is one of my favorite drives in the fall, this particular picture is of the flat rocks on the Elk River. Today in Marlinton is the Road Kill Cook-off and what a beautiful day for it. So get on out and enjoy this fall day.
